The garage box thus evolves from a purely functional volume into an intimate, temporary place for the traveler. Anchored to the waters of the Mechelen Nekker, the concrete structure opens up on two sides and becomes an island in its own right. A place to withdraw, to slow down, to be alone with thoughts, dreams, and plans. Within this enclosed shell, time seems to stand still: all that remains is you and your inner world.
